(Popeyes, Sauchiehall Street)
The restaurant has an energetic feel, stepping in you are immediately blinded by its excessive uses of luminous orange and bright baby blue. It's all very cliched 'American South', but it works. It's simple, in your face and extremely family- friendly. There are plenty seats, booths and regular tables but unfortunatley, due to the sheer amount of customers or lack of staff, they are often dirty, ridden with the reminants of the last eaters' breadcrumbs. The self- service is perfect however, allowing us customers to efficiently order our food, with very little wait time. SERVICE AND AMBIANCE OVERALL: 6.7/10
Taste
I ordered the 'Hot Honey Box Meal', a hand- breaded chicken breast in hot honey sauce, topped with smoked cheese and pickles on a brioche bun followed by two chicken tenders and a regular drink, priced all-together at £10.99. We will solely focus on the burger, or 'sandwich' as Popeyes likes to call it, as this is Burger Quest. The burger does definetly pack a punch, the honey gives it a lovely hint of sweetness and the chicken is extremly crispy and tender, making for a very solid overall burger. The downside however, and you may have guessed from the photo provided is that the burger is pretty dry. The honey is more of a taste than a sauce, resulting in the feeling of something missing.

Popeyes really earns my respects when it comes to the pricing. The meal i had, which included the chicken tenders and fries, was more than enough for the £10.99 price tag. In todays day and age, it is very rare to find a good quality meal for that amount, especially for the size of the portion provided. Big thumbs up from me.
