Bread Meats Bread

RATINGS

SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: 9.5/10

TASTE: 9.6/10

VALUE:8.5/10

SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: 9.5/10

Bread Meats Bread stands out in a way which is much different from the previous burger restaurants I have reviewed. Located in the West End, they offer a more of an upmarket experience, promising delicious burgers in an almost fancy restaurant setting. I am often slightly put off by these trendy, pricy burger places as I often feel they try too hard, and are too hipster for my liking. I believe the term ‘Utter woke nonsense’ could be used when paying 20 pounds for an overcomplicated burger, just to be sat on  a backless stool, served by a guy with tattoos and a beard called ‘Xavier’.  Anyways back to the point, Bread Meats Bread luckily avoids this problem as service is attentive but not too over the top, I was seated very fast with menus on a comfy sofa seat by the window. With its casual décor and simple seating, the atmosphere is laid back and warm, making it great for an outing with friends or family.

TASTE 9.6/10

Controversially, I ordered a chicken burger instead of a beef burger which would be more what BMB (Bread Meats Bread) is known for, but man was I not disappointed. Honestly, it would be incredibly hard to say that ive had a better chicken burger than this, possibly even burger in general. I ordered the Fried Chicken Cheeseburger with added bacon, which consisted of fried chicken, gooey cheese, pickles, bacon and garlic mayo in a perfectly seasoned bun. I mean just look at the picture. Have you ever seen a more perfect looking burger. Everything was perfect honestly I don’t even have to into detail. I would honestly give it a ten but that would be saying that this is the best burger in the world, which im not brave enough to declare. But wow, what a burger, highly recommend and very excited to come back.

VALUE: 8.5/10

Bread Meats Bread is the most expensive food restaurant ive reviewed so far but I definitely wasn’t thinking about the money id lost after eating that delicious burger. But look, the burger was £15 and that didn’t include the sides that I got (which were delicious, recommend the cheesy bacon fries) so its not a place you would go everyday for a quick bit of lunch but you do get what you pay for. An 8.5 is a fair rating in regards to the burgers quality and the burgers price.

  1. Totally agree with this blogger. Excellent burgers in here. Very interesting and varied menu with some lovely choices of patty, cheeses, sauces and sides. Can't be beaten.

Popeyes Louisiana Chicken Sauchiehall Street

RATINGS SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: 6.7/10 TASTE: 7.5/10 VALUE: 9/10 Service and ambience (Popeyes, Sauchiehall Street) The restaurant has an energetic feel, stepping in you are immediately blinded by its excessive uses of luminous orange and bright baby blue. It's all very cliched 'American South', but it works. It's simple, in your face and extremely family- friendly. There are plenty seats, booths and regular tables but unfortunatley, due to the sheer amount of customers or lack of staff, they are often dirty, ridden with the reminants of the last eaters' breadcrumbs. The self- service is perfect however, allowing us customers to efficiently order our food, with very little wait time.  SERVICE AND AMBIANCE OVERALL: 6.7/10 Taste I ordered the 'Hot Honey Box Meal', a hand- breaded chicken breast in hot honey sauce, topped with smoked cheese and pickles on a brioche bun followed by two chicken tenders and a regular drink, priced all-together at £10.99. We will sol...

Rajas West End

RATINGS SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: 4.6/10 TASTE: 7/10 VALUE: 8.5/10 SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: 4.6/10 (Clear Menu) Now, it is with a heavy heart that I have to give Raja’s such a poor score for service and ambiance, as it is my local burger place that has been a staple within my friendship group for many years. The service though, is nothing short of terrible. I recently went back after a long time to do this review and even phoned in advance with my order so that it would be snappy. The man of few words over the phone said that the food would be 15-20 minutes. Okay perfect, ill watch 20 minutes of YouTube then head down (I’m round the corner). Upon arriving, there was no one in front of me at the counter, only a few boys already sat with their food. The people working there pretty much completely ignored me as they were preparing the kitchen, except from one guy who I made awkward eye contact with about 4 times, still no communication. Eventually my presence was acknowledged and after a...

Chilos, West End

RATINGS SERVICE AND AMBIENCE: 8.8 TASTE: 8.5/10 VALUE: 9.2/10 SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: 8.8/10 The restaurant more or less ticks all the boxes needed for a fast food restaurant. The interior is predominantly black and white with stylish, but simple, décor striking a balance between trendy and welcoming. When I went it was a around 9pm so there was lots of seats available and the service was immediate and very friendly. The woman behind the counter explained the ordering process and there was even a guide on the wall to make it even clearer. I can imagine at busier times the service wouldn’t be as good, as there is no self-service machines, which could result in increased wait times for customers, but my experience was very positive. TASTE: 8.5/10 After a thorough analysis of the menu I was drawn to the ‘Double Stack Burger’. It consisted of two beef patty’s, Chilos secret seasoning, Chilos sauce, melted cheddar cheese, mayo, red onions, gherkins and lettuce. As you can see, this ...
